Recycle for Charity Bring your aluminum cans (rinsed and crushed please) to Carolyn McBride, 73 Swamp Fox Lane. The cans are sold for scrap metal and the proceeds are sent to Water Missions International (located in Charleston, SC), a Christian, nonprofit organization that provides clean, safe water to people in developing countries and disaster areas through a variety of technologies. LANDFILL AND RECYCLING CENTER The landfill is located on Hwy. 51 (take a right on 701 and an immediate left on 51) about 4 miles from Wedgefield Plantation. You can take your recycling items, household garbage and yard debris. They also have a compost program. |
